Product Description

Giordano Rapido Single Speed Road Bike (12780) The Rapido is all about keeping things simple and getting it done without breaking the bank. At the heart of the Rapido you’ll find a strong hand crafted steel frame with horizontal dropouts that can handle the abuse of the big city. City riders told us that they didn’t need derailleurs so we listened and outfitted the Rapido with a flip flop hub so you can run it as a fixed gear or in standard freewheel single speed mode without having to worry about adjustments to temperamental components. The 32 hole alloy wheels roll on loud Kenda 700 x 32 tires that are capable of withstanding less than perfect roads. Front and rear alloy side pull brakes round out this spectacular spec. 3OK for the price
By Brooklyn808
This bike is decent for the price of $179. If you are deciding between this and Takara Kabuto they are both made by Kent the only differences between the two are frame color, wheel color and the frame material Steel vs Aluminum. If your buying just for looks then it doesn't matter. If you plan on upgrading components then you should just get the Giordano and save a couple of dollars which can be used for quality parts. The best bang for your buck is actually the Schwinn Men's Courier Bicycle (green). Too bad its green but overall the components are better.I Switched out a couple of things I had from previous bikes. Flat handle bars, Brake Levers, Seatpost, Pedals. Removed all the stickers on frame and wheels, removed reflectors, chainring guard, kickstand (how many adults still use a kickstand) I'm 6' and the 56cm frame is fine.ProsLighweight Aluminum FrameWheelset is also fairly lightFlip Flop HubAll stickers can be removed easily including the one's on the wheelsConsChainring on the crank is not removeable (cranks are steel)Cheap Seatpost (replaced)seatpost is actually 27.2 (seatpost is steel)Cheap Pedals (replaced)Brakes not very good (will be replaced)Brakes are steel)Handle Bar is fairly heavy (replaced)Steel as well

4Giordano Road Bike
By Mark
I purchased this road bike to ride about 1-2 miles to school everyday. I have owned it for 2 weeks now and i have been very pleased. It came in excellent condition! It rides smooth and handles well. The things i do not like about the bike is the seat and seat post are very cheap. The pedals are also very cheap and low quality. But for the price i cannot complain. It also has a flip flop hub so anyone looking for a fixie for a decent price look no further. The frame is also very lightweight, and if you does not like the "Giordano" logos around the bike they are all stickers so you can easily remove them. Over all, I would recommend this bike to anyone who needs a basic and simple road bike.

4A head turner
By Zain M. Khan
I bought this bike for my son to ride to school and back; about 3 miles one way. This is an excellent bike, turns heads wherever it goes. I took it to the local bike shop for some work (more on that later) and all the bike afficiandos were asking where I got the bike from and how much it cost. And they all said that the price I paid for it was an excellent deal. The reason I had to take the bike to the bike shop is that there were some parts missing in the box that is was delivered in (hence the 4 stars and not 5). One of the brake pads were missing for the front tire and the tools were not there either to tighten the steering wheel. Apart from that, excellent bike and good value for the money.
