Overall, this is a good bike for the money. It is a bit on the heavy side for a road bike, but better that than being too flimsy. The bike is easy to put together if you have at least half a brain and works great with only a minor tune up. The one thing I didn't like about assembly was that apparently an impact wrench was used at the factory to attach the wheels, making them near impossible to get off without using an impact wrench. Other than that though, no problems. The bike rides well and shifts precisely after the cables have been set. One thing to note though, a standard size bike water bottle is too big to fit where the cage attaches. Also, the bars are the size used on mountain bikes, so road bike accessories won't fit. Overall though, I would say this is an excellent beginners road bike. Once the seat was replaced, no extra parts were needed to make it ride great. It is a great bike to get into cycling without spending a lot of money.

My first bike was returned due to damage incurred from poor manufacturer packaging, but a replacement was delivered within 2 days. I was very impressed with the quality customer service team at Amazon! They were friendly and solved the problem quickly. The replacement bike arrived with similar damage, but it was not nearly as extensive as the first. Initially I planned to return it too until I weighed out all my options. And sadly, this bike - even with a ding - is still the best bargain available on the market.The minimal assembly was a breeze and all it needed was adjustment to the front brake before I was able to take it on my Mother's Day test ride. I also purchased the Schwinn Ergonomic Saddle and swapped out the seat. The ride is smooth, the bike is relatively lightweight and very good looking. It will look even better after removing most of the decals 8-]There simply are no women's step-through framed road bikes with drop handlebars anywhere on the market for under 200 bucks, and definitely none in white. The industry is really very discriminatory in regards to women's road bikes, but finding a man's is no problem...what color would you like? LOLLadies - all you need are scissors, an adjustable open-end wrench and a set of Allen wrenches to finish the assembly on this bike, as well as a tire pump. First, flip the bike over and install the front wheel. If the back of the tire touches the bike frame, the forks are facing backwards. Turn them around, make sure the cables are not twisted, install the wheel, then the handlebars, seat, pedals and bottle holder. Make sure the chain is in order and pump up the tires. There are directions for brake adjustment included.I am now very pleased with my bicycle.Thanks Amazon!

I bought the GMC for training for my first triathlon. This bike is great for the money. I have used it for about three months now and have no complaints.
