I gave it two stars because I am only using the frame, all the other original parts have been replaced with better parts. I use my bike as my main mode of transportation, I ride rain or shine, winter or summer. On a slow day of commuting I will travel about 10-12 miles. My old bike frame was showing the wears of time and road salt so I opted for a new frame. Going in I knew that the bike was on the cheap side and that the components weren't the best, but seeing how I was mostly looking for a frame I went for it. For the good lets say the frame came in a great color, no dings, dents, or scratches. It is a light frame and is sturdy.After assembling the bike with the original components and giving it a good test ride, the crank was smooth, and it handled fine. From there it's down hill. The front rim came bent, so it was not used in the initial ride. Brakes are alright, not amazing but they will stop you, although they are hard to keep straightened. The seat was super uncomfortable, that lasted one ride and was switched with my old saddle. The seat post clamp would not keep the seat locked in postion, after making a commute I found the seat angled up making the ride uncomfortable, I had to carry an allen wrench in my bag to level the seat after every ride.To date I have replaced basically everything off the bike with old parts from my previous bike or that I had laying around. If you are the type to ride it every so often I would not hesitate to buy it. Its a great starter bike to see if its the lifestyle for you. If you are a serious commuter and have lots of spare parts like I do I would still consider it. However if you are a serious commuter and don't have lots of parts buy a higher end bike. You'll come out the same if you buy this bike for all upgrades that you will be doing to it.

I bought this bike knowing it was not the highest quality bike available, it has cheap parts but of course you end up spending about the same amount of money replacing parts as you would on a higher quality bicycle. my real problem is that i was sent a bike smaller than the one i ordered, received TERRIBLE customer service from amazon (currently at about 2 hours on the phone with the "customer service rep" about the whole ordeal, and am now expected to take time out of 3-5 DAYS to wait on UPS to pick the thing up, which they have barely attempted to do (not amazon's fault, i know, but certainly a huge inconvenience). this cheap piece of crap is not worth the time or headache, go to a shop and buy a QUALITY bicycle instead of wasting your time and energy on this. ZERO STARS.
